When I become a bit depressed,
I count the ways in which I'm blessed,
And notice those with heavier crosses,
Who seem to turn to gain
their losses.

They always seem eager
to share,
A loaf, a smile, a hopeful prayer,
And walk the way of happiness,
Giving more, asking less.
